A big hello to all of our families and welcome to our fantastic Friday!

We have had a wonderful week and today was no exception, we had a great morning outside dancing with our friends and riding the bikes, we made big towers with our giant blocks and loved blowing bubbles, we especially loved the hula hoops…we practiced spinning the hoops round and round.

We moved inside shortly after 9am ready to sit down and have our morning tea, today was a yummy fruit jelly…DELICIOUS!

Sophie went off to gymnastics with Miss Bea at 9.30, during this time the rest of us sat down for a grouptime story, we listened to brown bear brown bear what do you see?, the children really love this book and it is really great for our colour recognition skills, we also went through our colour flash cards together,  practicing saying our colours and relating the colours back to our brown bear book eg…green is green frog etc.

Once our friend Sophie had returned from gymnastics we got straight into our class craft activity for the day, today we began some Halloween craft…..We used our paint stampers to create our own witches hats, we had loads of fun with this activity,  we used lots of colours including some fun new metalic colours (all non toxic and washable) while the children were painting we listened to an audio story called “room on the broom”

After we had finished our painting the children were able to self select activities,  puzzles were first choice again today, we sat with the children and helped them manouvre the pieces although not alot of guidence was needed today,  it is so amazing how well our class is doing in this area, we will be extending our puzzle selection over the coming weeks to help encourage and promote the childrens skills in this area.

We hope you all have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you all next week!

Miss Rochelle and Miss Anita xoxo
