A big hello to all of our families and welcome to our spooktacular day!!!!
We have had so much fun today, it all began with us greeting our friends outside and exploring our yard together. Miss Talia had set up some fun activities for us…..our favourite activities this morning were the puzzles at the table especially the animal puzzle, we loved roaring like the big lion in the puzzle. We also had lots of fun pushing around the lawn mowers and prams and making music with our instruments.
We moved indoors at 9am ready for our morning tea, we all had some yummy homemade beans on sourdough toast YUM!
At 9.30am it was time for Tumble Tots….Sadie, Finn, Theo all went with Miss Bea for some gymnastics fun. While we waited for our friends to come back we enjoyed some self selected play activities, we dressed up in some costumes from our costume box and danced to the monster mash xxx , we played in our home corner and pretended to phone our mummys and daddys with our pretend phones, while we were playing Miss Rochelle was setting up a spooky but fun halloween activity . Once all of our friends had returned from gymnastics we got straight into our class experience for today…….a fun sensory experience using sooooo much coloured rice with lots of spooky creepy crawlies hidden inside with some cute halloween buckets, sives and spoons to explore with, the children absolutely loved this we sat as a group for a whole hour with the children feeling the rice through their fingers and toes, we poured rice through a ghost funnel and used our sand sifter to pour rice through it….the children noticed how the rice made a funny sound as the rice ran through the wheel, we did really well with using the spoons to scoop the rice into our tiny buckets which was great for our hand eye coordination, we also did a really great job with our patients and sharing together as we were all sitting together using our equipment as a group. While we were playing together we listened to some fun halloween songs …..Miss Rochelle and Miss Anita really loved the monster mash xxxx
We have been reading our “never touch a monster” story today, which the children are enjoying.
We hope you all have a wonderful halloween evening and your trick or treaters are kind .
Miss Rochelle and Miss Anita xoxo
