Today in the babies room we have spent lots of time together doing activities as a group. Our morning began with group time, we read a book about monsters and boats, counted with our fingers, made rhythmic beats on our bodies, talked about our names and sang:
• Open shut them
• Old Macdonald’s Farm
• If your happy and you know it
• Twinkle twinkle
• Heads shoulders knees and toes.
After Group time we went outside where we put on some Baby Einstein music. The babies were encouraged to move their bodies around to the beat. We also tried dancing while holding baby dolls and balls. We practiced the following moves:
• Clapping and shaking our hands
• Shaking and twisting our bodies
• Balancing on one leg
• Wiggling our fingers
Once everyone was finished dancing Jude, Penny and Elle took turns on the slide. Elle and Penny stood at the top while Jude tried to climb up the slide and catch them. He almost reached the top when the girls looked at him and then he laughed loudly and squealed at them. He then slid down and hoped off. Penny was next to go down the slide, then Elle followed. They continued playing like this for several minutes taking turns and cooperating as a group.
The rest of our day was spent playing, dancing, reading books, drawing, popping bubbles, and doing craft.
Thanks for a lovely day babies we hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂
