Hi Families! Happy Wednesday and a very happy 1st Birthday to our special friend Annie! We are all so happy to get to celebrate with you.
Today we had lots of indoor play today as it was still smoky outside. We started our morning off with a singalong of our favourite nursery rhymes with Miss Bronagh, “Old Mcdonald”, “Ba Ba Black Sheep” and “Open, Shut Them” with our fluffy puppets! We then had our yummy morning tea which was the children’s favourite, raisin toast and fruit. We then went and did some self select around the classroom. We all loved playing in the big ball pit in our classroom, Isla especially enjoyed sitting and moving all the balls around and even throwing them outside of the pool.
We continued on with our Christmas craft today which Blake, Birdie and Archie really loved. Anselma and Annie loved cooking and doing role play in the home corner today, they kept taking turns pretending to be the babies, climbing in and out of the doll cot. They used their fingers and hands to spread and swirl the paint all over the page, Birdie had so much fun that she decided to help Pip with her painting too. Pip took an interest in the LEGO blocks and really enjoyed piecing them together and making a tower.
Before lunch to get all of our wiggles out, we decided to do a dance party on our mat to some Christmas songs! The children loved dancing along bobbing up and down laughing. We then all sat down and had some delicious tacos for lunch to fill our tummies before bed.
Annie’s mum was so kind to bring in her birthday cake and party hats to share with her friends today so as we were all sat down for afternoon tea we sung her happy birthday and enjoyed a piece of cake.
We hope you all had a good day.
Lots of love, Miss Deb and Miss Danna xxx
