Good Afternoon Families
Friday already, this week has certainly gone fast. We have all had a very busy fun filled learning week sharing so many amazing experiences and going on lots of fun adventures with our friends.
Our recycled boxes were lots of fun as all our little learners used their imaginations to turn them into lots of fun and energetic games. Our little learners stacked them, rode in them, drew on them, used them for beds for the baby dolls, and even for a moment of solitude as they sat in them looking through books.
Anzac Day was a very important part of our learning experience this week, we enjoyed a fun sensory activity using our hands to paint a large white piece of cardboard with bright red paint which later on was made into lovely red poppies, some of our beautiful poppies were placed on our fence to commemorate Anzac Day, and smaller ones we attached to ribbon for our Mummies or Daddies to wear tomorrow on Anzac Day.
Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served”.
We also celebrated Earth Day Wednesday, using recycled materials for art activities and recycled resources to expand our imaginative play like boxes, ribbons to dance with, old containers For water and sand play. Remember always Reduse Reuse And Recycle ♻️ Were you can to help look after our beautiful home for our little people to enjoy.
Today during our group time activities we helped make Anzac Biscuits. Oh my gosh we really loved the taste of the mixture and loved helping stir the ingredients. We are Master Chefs in the making Miss Deb told us ?
Our outdoor play was full of imagination, teamwork and social skills as Zac, Archie and Jaxon used the boxes for cars racing each other around the outdoor area BeepBeep!! Isla thought hmmm this looks like fun and grabbed her stroller and doll and walked quickly after her friends. Isla then discovered the books on the table as she was passing by and sat for a while looking at the pictures and touching the different textures in the touch and feel books sometimes scratching her nails on the bumpy texture liking the noise that it made, then patting the soft fluffy texture ever so gently with her hand.
After our big explore outside it was time to transition indoors to wash our hands and get ready for lunch, but before we do we all enjoyed doing our the actions to our favourite songs Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ⭐️ Open Shut Them ? Incy Wincy Spider ? and Baby Shark ?
We have all had a wonderful day and a magnificent week, thank you all for joining us on our adventures.
Have a lovely weekend and we will see you all again next week for more fun learning adventures
Love Miss Deb and Miss Shafagh xxoo
