Good Afternoon Families

Welcome back to another week of learning fun. We hope you had an amazing weekend!
First up this morning we had our group art therapy lesson with Miss K and Miss. Over the last few weeks we have been learning about our different feelings/emotions through art. Today  Miss shared a story with us called “Lifetimes”We all sat so beautifully as we listened. Soon it was time for our art experience, today we used glue with a touch of orange paint in it to create our beautiful collage representing life. We were offered a dead leaf as well as a variety of materials of different shapes, colours, patterns and textures signifying life. The significance of the leave is to explain the lifecycle and explore death/loss through something we witness everyday ( nature). This activity was a wonderful lesson which all the children thougherly  enjoyed.

We then all enjoyed some free play, selecting from the many resources on offer. Nyah made an amazing pot of tea to share with her friends. Annie and Archie snuggled up on the cushion in book corner and looked through books together giggling at each other. Zac our little pumpkin pirate hid beside the chair spying at his friends through his trusty paper towel roll telescope.

Kira enjoyed some outdoor play today rolling around on the soft rugs watching her friends at play. Saylor happily entertained herself by pushing the large gym ball up and over the large soft foam blocks.  Summer set about collecting the brass rings placing them on her arm showing all her friends what beautiful bangles she had and the wonderful noise they made when they hit together when she moved her arm.

We also had a Rainbow Fish from the story come visit us today, looking all smart and shiney . No wait it is Samuel! Darcy also came dressed like a beautiful unicorn from her book “That’s Not My Unicorn” that she brought to share with her friends. Thank you for participating in our book week celebrations. We will be having another dress up day on Thursday. We can’t wait to see what you come as, don’t forget to bring a book to share.

We have all had an amazing day, see you all again soon

Love Miss Deb and Miss Shafagh xxoo ❤️❤️
