Hello everyone!!!
Welcome to a new week here in Babies Three. How was your weekend?? We hope it was full of adventures.

Today we started our morning with our Good Morning song. All our little friends are very familiar and love our morning greeting. We then sat as a group and enjoyed listening to a colour recognition book called Where Is The Green Sheep. All our little learners recognized the colours and and used their counting skills to count the sheep on each page. We sung as a group a variety of our favourite nursery rhymes. Baa Baa Black Sheep, Hickory Dickory Dock, Humpty Dumpty and Jack And Jill. Action songs were also being enjoyed as all the babies familiarised themselves with a new one Five Little Speckled Frogs as well as some old favourites Miss Polly Had A Dolly, I’m A Little Teapot, If Your Happy And You Know It and Rock A Bye Your Bear.

Our outdoor activities were enjoyed by all our little explorers. Obstacle course, bikes, balls, books and hand puppets being just a few of their interests.

Our fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, language skills, colour recognition were all being developed through our fun group time activity. There were kitchen colanders, and red and blue pipe cleaners for our little friends. They used their thinking skills to push the pipe cleaners through the holes. We also had coloured pompoms of various shaped and sizes on offer with containers, scoops and spoons to explore them with.

During our morning session we had a visit from Miss V and Miss Lisa our art therapy teachers. Firstly we sang a song and then listened to a book about a little refugee girl. Describing her feelings and loneliness and cultural displacement. Today they pinned a large piece of paper to the wall and then began to paint a brown tree with lots of branches on it. We all became very excited wanting to join in on this activity. We were offered strips of coloured material made out of a variety of different textures to stick onto our tree. There was also a hula hoop with lots of material tied to it. This was a fun engaging learning activity for our little friends. As they sat together immersed in this fantastic problem solving fine motor skill experience, they began to untie each piece of material from the hoop. Then with a dab of glue they would stick it to the Friendship Tree. This activity teaches us about friendships, feelings, differences and loneliness. Thank you for sharing this learning experience with us today. We look forward to seeing you both again next week.

We have all had a super day, with lots of learning opportunities.
Have a lovely afternoon everyone, see you all again soon.

Love Miss Deb and Miss Shafagh xxoo ❤️??
