Good Afternoon Families

Our little explorers have been on many adventures today, first in our outdoor area playing in the sand, doing acrobatics on our large foam blocks, sharing books with our friends and lots of giggles as we all hide from Miss Deb and Miss Shafagh in the circus tent. We also enjoyed drawing with chalk on our mini chalk boards, our little friends loved this learning experience. So much lovely sharing and communicating amongst our little learners as they chatted amongst themselves and the wonder in their little faces as they moved the chalk across the board watching as the white chalk appeared on the black surface. Then taking a wet cloth to clean the chalk from the board before drawing more amazing drawings.
Our adventures then moved indoors where we all chose an activity we were interested in. Musical instruments were chosen by Jaxon making himself comfortable on the mat as he tinked away on the xylophone. Birdie’s choice was home corner were she busily set to work taking care of her babies. Matilda rolled around on the activity mat reaching out for toys and balls that her friends placed near her, Matilda our little ballerina also had fun in her activity bouncer rolling the clear cylinder around with her little fingers watching the coloured balls spin around inside. Zac decided he had lots to create and fix at the construction table, busily banging and moving the bolts and wood around the table. Pip snuggled up on the cushions in book corner flipping through books, soon to be joined by her friends Annie and Carter all sharing the same interest. I sat next to them and asked my little friends if they wanted me to read them a book, Annie chose the animal number book for me to read. As I started to read all our other little friends came to listen, we counted all the animals on each page together. Then we moved to the musical instruments, we shared the instruments between our little friends, then we made beautiful and very loud music together singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I’m A Little Tea Pot, The Ants Go Marching, we all had so much fun.

Today in art we recycled old egg cartons to make Easter baskets. We used a variety of pretty bright paints and then with our thick paint brushes and our artistic hands we created master pieces. Easter Bunny is going to be so surprised, they are so awesome!!

We have all had such a wonderful, fun, happy day, thank you all for sharing it with us.

Enjoy your afternoon everyone, and we will see you all again soon

love Miss Deb and Miss Shafagh xxoo
