Good Afternoon Families
Welcome to our Tuesday in Babies three!!
Today we enjoyed some free play during our morning session. Our little learners busied about happily selecting resources from the shelves. Wooden blocks in a variety of different sizes and connect blocks being of interest in our construction area. Loads of imagination and team work as they engaged in play together. Constructing towers, bridges to drive the cars under and some beautiful and imaginative works of art came together using the coloured connecting blocks. Home corner was bustling as our little friends worked together in the little kitchen. The baby dolls also being well looked after. Our loose parts basket is always exciting as they sort through the array of bits and pieces. Using their little imaginations and cognitive skills they place things in jars, take lids on and off, place rings on their arms. This amazing baskets is full of wonderful opportunities, which helps them to develop ideas and imaginations. Loose parts also encourages team work, sharing and communication skills, as well as problem solving skills, persistence and perseverance.
In our outdoor area we had set up the balancing beam, large foam blocks and bikes encouraging our little explorers to take turns and practicing their balancing and spacial awareness. Books and hand puppets were set out on the tables. All the children really enjoyed listening and recognising pictures in the books with Miss Roya. All our little friends are speaking so well, and were all very excited to talk about the books with her.
We are all enjoying watching our caterpillars 🐛 grow more and more each day. We sit so patiently watching them eat the leaves and move around their home.
We have all had a wonderful day, see you all again soon.
Have a great afternoon everyone!
