Good Afternoon Families
Another beautiful rainy day, but that doesn’t stop us from enjoying our day of learning adventures. Our little learners love watching the rain tumble down. Loads of rainy day songs were sung during our group time this morning, as we sat in our fantastic outdoor area we all joined in to do the actions to Its Raining It’s Pouring, Incy Wincy Spider, I Hear Thunder and Row Row Row Your Boat.
Our puppets, balls, discovery bottles, sand and books were all set up in our outdoor area for our little learners to discover. Jaxon really loving the sand and blocks, Summer the hand puppets and ball pit. Annie, Birdie, Pip and Isla shared a book while Archie tried to balance the dinosaur on the large beach ball, nearby Saylor enjoyed the little wooden bikes.
Our inside adventures took us on an amazing sensory experience as we Used our hand eye coordination, fine motor skills and colour recognition as we used thick brushes and red and gold paint we happily painted cold sticky cooked spaghetti. This sensory experience also helping to develop our social and language skills as we did this art as a group, the babies chatted to their educators and friends. This experience also being an extension from our Chinese New Year celebrations. Most of the babies enjoyed this art experience, watching as the spaghetti changed colour as they brushed and dabbed the paint onto it, they then placed the coloured spaghetti onto white paper to make a wiggly colourful pattern.
Other activities enjoyed today were our loose parts, stacking cups and rings, hand puppets, home corner, obstacle course and blocks.
We have all had a wonderful day, have a lovely afternoon everyone.
See you all again soon.
love Miss Deb and Miss Shafagh xxoo
