Happy Wednesday Babies Three families…

This morning we shared our Acknowledgment to Country. Miss Leesa, Miss Shafagh and the children shared, ‘Here is the Land, Here is the Sky, Here are my Friends and Here am I’ with actions. We also shared the Aboriginal Children’s stories ‘We all sleep’ and ‘My Country’. We then sang some of our favourite songs and rhymes including ABC, Twinkle, Twinkle and I Had a Little Turtle. We then shared counting songs including 1,2,3,4,5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive, 5 Cheeky Monkeys and 5 Little Speckled Frogs.

Today Miss Shafagh prepared the table with a variety of planned experiences at the table. The children enjoyed practicing their fine motor skills with chalk drawing on the chalk boards, expressing their creativity with water colour painting – using the thin brushes and texta drawing. The children had fun taking turns and rotating around the table and engaging in all the experiences on offer. Spontaneous play today the children chose role-play in the home corner kitchen – cooking and pretending to wash up in the sink, baby doll play with the blankets, building tracks for the magnetic trains and play with the recycled sensory bottles.

In the afternoon, the children had fun playing with the balls – bouncing and throwing and catching, playing follow-the-leader, playing on the seesaws – singing ‘rock your boat’, reading and sharing the picture books on the rug, having races – pushing the lawn mowers back and forth, baby doll play with the blankets and cots and bubble blowing.

What a super fun day of learning and play in Babies Three…

Until next time…

Love Miss Leesa and Miss Shafagh
