Good afternoon families,
Today we had a full day of fun, how great was it to see the beautiful sun shining today, much better than that rain! The children where happy to play outside this morning and get fresh air around them and to run on the grass again.
We started this morning off with our group time and Zoey was the teachers helper today and brought in her unicorn to show us all today. The children practised asking more questions –
|“Where did you buy it?” “Who got it for you?” “What other toys do you have at home?”|
We had a fun cooking activity today, all the children got involved and took turns to help bake our yummy chocolate chip cookies. The children got to mix, stir, pour in the different ingredients and wait for the cookies to bake. They had to count the chocolate chips to put in the cookies – 8 in total.
Mr Daniel came today for Arakan, Hannah, Julia, Maddison & Leo, all took part in Arakan and they really enjoy it. Well done guys.
We also had a practice fire alarm drill today, and the children did a fantastic job. Everyone listen so well, stopped what they where doing, lined up and followed in a line to our fire excavation spot. The children done so well, no one cried and we done it in a super fast time. Very proud Kindergarten 1!
For Math, Miss Qiu took out the linking cubes and discussed shapes, colours and patterns.
Our platypus puppet arrived in the post today and we got to talk about Australian animals – cockatoos, dingoes and platypus. We brainstormed what they ate, then decided to look it up later on the internet for more information.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Don’t forget your cookies!
Lots of love,
Miss Qiu and Miss Bronagh xxx
