Hello and good afternoon to all our Kindergarten 1 friends and families, welcome to Wednesday the 11th of September 2019.

This morning our friends Evan, Ryder and friends were shifting the sandpit equipment and climbing equipment around to create a “pool party” in the sandpit area. Hannah, Olivia B, Indigo and Edith were enjoying the reading mat with the pillows and the basket of books.

We all enjoyed the morning together having an extend play time this morning. Once it was time to go inside for morning tea we all lined up and made our way inside to wash our hands and fill our tummies up for yummy morning tea, today we enjoyed a berry jelly full of strawberries, blueberries and raspberry.

During mat time today we sung our good morning song, days of the week and changed our Be Kind Program to ‘Winky Wednesday with our Tweety Bird picture we finished off our group time with practicing our Graduation song and our star of the day who today our is Edith.

We had yoga with Miss Sam today. We did some yoga inside and some yoga outside. It was lovely enjoying the breeze outside. We all really liked being able to practice our hand stands on the deck against the wall and relaxing our bodies. Once we had finished yoga we all made our way back inside for play and our art activity.

We have been discussing the show we have on Friday and how we will learn about Aboriginal culture and instruments. Today we did some Aboriginal symbols in the sand.

Seb, Evan and Blaze enjoyed making a fabulous tower out of the giant building blocks. Keeva, Hannah, Indigo and Chloe were enjoying the home corner and were very proud of their efforts in tidying it all up.

Parents next Monday the 16th of September we are having a dress up as a Emergency Worker. To raise some money to support the people who have suffered in the recent fires. Wear your emergency dress ups and make a gold coin donation to this important cause. There will also be a donation box in the office for non-perishable food items and bottled water.

Please help us assist those Queenslanders who are going through this horrendous disaster!

Miss Sophie and Miss Shannen will be wearing their Ambulance Shirts for the day.

We had a great day today and enjoyed drawing and exploring Aboriginal symbols in the sand. Everyone did a great job! We can’t wait for them to dry and display them around the room.
