Hello and good evening to our Kindergarten 1 friends and families, welcome to Wednesday the 12th of June 2019.

We apologies for any inconvenience as our Online Attendance System was down today we were unable to update the charts for our Kindergarten friends. The charts will be online tomorrow.

This morning out in the yard we had many friends cooking up a storm in the MUD Kitchen using the cooking equipment to get creative with cooking and baking cakes, muffins and we even had milkshakes with any flavour you could imagine.

We had lots of friends complete the obstacle circuit that was set up on the yard in a circle form, the obstacle course was very popular this morning among our friends. Our sandpit was also full of friends digging and sculpting the sand.

Up on the deck we had our art tables set up with al the colours of the rainbow crayons and textas for our friends to have free expression art with friends, down below the deck in a sunny spot we had the connectors set up for everyone again today, everyone is really enjoying the connectors out in the yard.

We stayed outdoors a little while longer this morning as we wanted to make the most of this beautiful winter day and have our yoga lesson outside with Miss Sam. We all help Miss Sam move the toys and equipment around in the yard and set up all the mats for our yoga. We all were very relaxed during our yoga and we love when Miss Sam asks us to get into our rocket pose as we get ready to BLAST OFF and fly around the yard.

Once we had finished our yoga lesson we made our way inside for our morning tea and group time. Group time today we sung our usual songs – good morning song, days of the week and our Jolly Phonics. Miss Sophie did the class role with all our friends greeting and welcoming each friend and teacher to the day. Miss Sophie also explained that today we were going to have a shorter time to play and eat our lunch a little earlier today as we had our BE BRAVE! Take a look, THERE’S MAGIC IN THERE. We were all very excited to be going to the show. Our star of the day for today is Chase! Chase was very happy to hear his name called and be at the front for our star of the day. As our friends transitioned to morning tea each friend chose a greeting from the star of the day sheet and then gave each other a wink as walked past for BE Kind Program that today is Winking Wednesday.

Charlotte, Chloe and Olivia were playing with the doll’s house, re arranging the furniture and playing families. Our block area was very busy with Blaze, Seb, Ryder, Leon and Chase, making some fabulous ramps and bridges. There were lots of fun actives out on the mat with all our friends giving all our friends the choice of their own activity for the morning.

After we had our early lunch, we packed away our plates, drink bottles, put on our hats and lined up at the gate to go outside for the show out in the Kindergarten yard.

Todays show was all about ‘There’s magic in there’ it was a tale about what lies under the surface and the courage of discovery. Miss Alicia told us a story about Australia using lots of props and magic to tell the story. Miss Nadine was our narrator helping Miss Alicia. All our friends really enjoyed listening to the story asking lots of questions at the end of the performance.

We had a lovely day full of imagination and creativity. The show was good fun and kept the children very engaged.

See you tomorrow

Miss Sophie and Miss Shannen
