Hello and good afternoon to all our Kindergarten 1 friends and families, welcome to Winking Wednesday the 18th of September 2019.
This morning our friends Edith, Amelia G, Keeva, Molly, Chloe and Indigo were loving the hopscotch this morning. They went and got all the pieces from our toy area and carefully placed the pieces together.
Blaze, Leon, Aron and Eric were flying their paper airplanes over the trees and off the fort.
We stayed outside this morning with all our Kindergarten 1 and 2 friends and had an extend play while we waited for Miss Sam to arrive for our yoga lesson and today with the beautiful sunny morning we had we thought what a great idea it would be to have our yoga lesson out in the yard! We all went inside and help Miss Sam bring out the yoga mats and laid them all down on the grass in the perfect spots for us to all stretch and move our bodies. Yoga this morning Miss Sam had us all in a circle we popped our bodies like we were popcorn, blasted into space like rockets stretching tall before exploding into a big shinning star!
Once we finished our yoga class we lined up at the gate and made our way into the bathroom to wash our hands and start of morning off with our morning tea. Today our morning tea was a very yummy and delicious berry and fruit jelly. We all really enjoyed our morning tea jelly eat it all up!
We sat down on the mat for a quick group time and to sing our daily group time songs – days of the week, good morning song and changed our Be Kind Program to ‘Winking Wednesday’ we also read our friends Anastasia an Oliver’s books from home that they brought in to share with us all they were called “Castle of Shadows (My Little Pony) and ‘Aliens love Dinopants’ thank you for sharing with us we really enjoyed both of these books today. Friends please bring in as many books as you like we love reading them at our group times.
Today we started our plant paintings. We painted all the different parts of the plants and labelled everything i.e. roots, stem, flower, leaf. Using lots of different coloured paints to create our plants we had purple, blue, yellow, green, and brown. Miss Sophie showed us all how to draw a plant on the art easel for us all to see an example we then all picked up paint brushes and got creative looking at Miss Sophies art for guidance.
To extend on our plant theme, Olivia B brought in some show and tell for her class of when she went strawberry picking. Olivia had lots of photos to show her class and even brought in some of the strawberries to share with everyone.
See you all tomorrow
