This morning started with great excitement in the playground, the children found a Dragonfly who was having a rest in the playground. Miss Sharon held the Dragonfly carefully in her hand so that we all could have a look. We liked the clear wings that the Dragonfly had as well as how long the body was.  Later in the morning Mr Peter bought us a stick insect that he had found for us to see, some of the children were very excited how much like a stick it was.

We started our learning outside on the deck this morning as the breeze was lovely, the children were all very excited to sit in the shade and enjoy some fresh air. We discussed the insects that we have been learning about and were very excited to explore today insect a Caterpillar.

The children have also enjoyed their gymnastics today as well as a visit from Mr Daniel, these activities have helped to break up the children’s day. After lunch we continued with our story time, todays story touched on children finding something that wasn’t theirs. This bought about a discussion about what to do when we found a lost item at home or at school and what we should do about this.

We have had an amazing week and are looking forward to continuing with our insects next week.

Have a great weekend

Regards

Sharon and Parisa
