Welcome to a fun Friday in Kindergarten 2,
in the morning we had a big group of adventurers in the sandpit area digging for treasure shells. They used shovels to move the sand out of the way and to try and find as many shells as possible.
We also had a group of friends sitting in our mud kitchen pretending to be in a restaurant eating their dinner…they had chocolate sauce on fruit 😉
After some super yummy raisin toast with honey and fresh fruits the children transitioned inside to talk about the special book Rie had brought in today. She showed her friends how to count in Swedish to ten and chose number six to do the work sheet for. She sat together with her friends at the table and showed them what to do in each task. They had to trace the number six as well as draw six objects of their liking.
We continued the tracing activity for the children to strengthen their muscles in their hands and they are getting so good at it. The hard work is paying out…so proud of all our children.
Playdough was super popular as well. The children liked using cutters and rollerpins to shape the dough into pizzas, cookies, a horse and Olaf from Frozen. Such a great way for the children explore with their senses and use all their creativity.
We would also kindly ask you to help us encourage your children to dress themselves, put jumpers on and take them off as well as opening and closing their water bottles by themselves at home. Most of our friends are getting better and better at it but a little bit of continuing practice is always great 😉
We hope you all have a great weekend and see you all again on Monday
