Happy Monday!

Our Mondayitis has eased and we have had a great start to our day, enjoying a fun play in the playground this morning. Many children enjoyed playing in the shade of the sandpit whilst others engaged in imaginative play in the cubby houses. We enjoyed a hula hooping extravaganza and marvelled at the creative drawings from others.

Following our morning tea of fresh fruit, yoghurt and crackers, we settled in to our Art lesson with Mrs A. She began by reading us a funny story about forgetting to wear underpants, it was really funny. After the story she shared our amazing Aliens that we had drawn. They are so awesome that we are getting them laminated so we can keep them. Last week Mrs A had drawn a portrait of herself while we watched. This week it was our turn to draw self portraits. We first discussed what features we would need to include. After we had drawn them, we painted them with water colour paints. We all did a fabulous job and are proud of our work.

It was then time to go into Kindergarten 1 for free play, whilst they used our room for Art. Some children went camping and made a lovely campfire. Others built large buildings and roads with the blocks. The dolls house was a hive of activity, with the dolls being used for imaginative play. Other children preferred the quieter activities of mobilo and building train tracks.

After such a busy morning, we were looking forward to our delicious lunch of pasta and salad. We are having a busy and productive day and hope you are doing the same.

Regards

Miss Dani & Miss Parissa
