This morning outside, Steve and Eric were enjoying some relaxing time in the sun. Nisha, Connor, Elke and Grace enjoyed the sandpit. They were making all sorts of cakes like chocolate and marshmallow cakes. Delicious!

At group time, we completed our Acknowledgement to Country. Miss Jade spoke about NAIDOC Week and why we say the Acknowledgement to Country. Then, Cooper P chose of the days of the week song and we completed our daily calendar.

At activity time, we completed dot paintings of the Aboriginal Flag. We used red, black and yellow paint to dot our fingertips on the page. Daniella, Lillian, Abigail and Bonnie enjoyed this activity. Fynn and Archie enjoyed the magnetic sticks. They connected all the pieces together to create the longest stick that they could. Connor and Thomas were playing with the kinetic sand with the dinosaurs. They enjoyed manipulating the sand between their fingers. Charlie enjoyed the train tracks which Steve, Eric and Shion enjoyed the cars. Ben, Aristotelis and Nash enjoyed making cars out of the Mobilo. Rie and Nash enjoyed the magnetic dress up dolls. They were choosing outfits for their dolls. Grace, Alaska, Nisha and Elke enjoyed the kinetic sand. They were using the play dough tools to create shapes out of the sand. Lillian and Abigail enjoyed finishing off their lemurs from last week.

At group time, Bonnie and Archie shared their show and tell. Bonnie shared her stones while Archie had a batman car. Thanks for providing your clues and sharing with us! Then, Miss Jade read a Dreamtime story for the children. It was called, “How the birds got their Colours.” It was about how all the birds were black and eventually got colour because of the help of friends. The children thoroughly enjoyed this story.

Miss Hayley came to teach us yoga. We began by standing in a circle and we did a game similar to Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. But instead, we rolled a dice and had to complete the pose that appeared on the die, It was very fun.

For the table activities, the children enjoyed the writing table, connecting sticks, drawing, connecting shapes, alphabet bingo and puzzles.

Next, we picked out the phonics song that we wanted to sing. Then, we practiced our performance and routine for graduation.

Home-readers will be located downstairs in the office for you to personally change on a weekly basis. RSVP list for graduation, Christmas Party and Parent Teacher night is located in the upstairs office. On graduation night, graduate photos will be sold for $5.
