This morning, the children engaged in various activities in the Kindergarten 1 room. These included drawing, lego and puzzles.

At group time, we completed our Acknowledgement to Country. Then, Archie chose the country of the day and he chose Germany, The children remembered that Miss Nadine was from Germany and Daniella’s mother as well. The children remembered that in Germany, they speak German. We looked at the flag and the map of the country. We found out that to say ‘Merry Christmas’ in German, they say, “Fröhliche Weihnachten.” We completed our roll in German and counted how many children were here todayThen, Abigail chose the Days of the Week song and we completed our Daily Calendar. Connor then handed out gift bags to his friends who weren’t here yesterday and Miss Jade also handed out Emmett’s and Arisotelis’ gifts.

At activity time, Rie, Lillian, Elke and Eric enjoyed playing with the kinetic sand. They were rolling out the sand and using cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Archie, Bonnie and Daniella enjoyed playing with the connecting flowers. They were making roller-skates out of them. Abigail enjoyed completing the solar system floor puzzle. She worked independently to complete as much of the puzzle as she could. Connor, Ben and Shion enjoyed playing with the Mobilo. They were making cars and trucks, with many wheels and different shapes and sizes. Cooper P and Nash enjoyed the cars. They were driving their cars along the shelves and created a course for their cars to drive. Grace was playing in home-corner. She was in the kitchen pretending to cook and eat her meals.

At group time, Rie, Shion, Nash and Cooper P shared their Show and Tell. Rie brought in a rabbit, Shion brought in a photo of his childhood, Nash brought in a fire truck toy and Cooper P his Lifesabers. Thank you friends for sharing. Then, Miss Jade read a story called ‘A Bumping and a Jumping Bananas in Pyjamas’ and ‘There was an old bloke to swallowed a present.’
