This morning outside, Bonnie and Daniella were playing with the skipping rope. The girls were holding each end and were wondering around the yard each taking turns to lead the way. Emmett, Steve and Eric enjoyed playing on the fort. They were climbing up and taking turns going down the slide. Alaska was helping Miss Jade trace circles for the ‘Pin the Nose on Rudolph’ game.
This morning after morning tea, we got ready for our Christmas Party. The children lined up in 2 lines with their bells and walked outside. Lining up on the steps, the children were ready to sing ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Chicka Boom’ for their families. All the families cheered the children for their great singing and dancing. Great job Kindergarten! Then, we had a special guest come to visit us; it was Santa! Santa brought it special gifts for all the children and they all got a photo with him! After meeting Santa, the children wondered off to their families to enjoy food and activities. There was a bowling game, Pin the Nose on Rudolph, Ball-Darts, colouring-in, Christmas tree ball throw and a gingerbread-decorating activity. Eric, Leilani, Sofia and Steve enjoyed decorating the gingerbread with pom poms and rhinestones. Alaska and Sofia enjoyed colouring in the ‘Merry Christmas’ colouring-in sheet. Shion, Connor, Lewis and Cooper P enjoyed the Christmas tree ball throw. The children took turns in trying to throw the ball into the holes and get it into the basket. Cooper T enjoyed playing Pin the Nose on Rudolph.
Coming inside, Lillian and Daniella loved the sensory box with coconut, Christmas decorations and scoops. The girls enjoyed feeling the coconut and scooping it up. Lewis, Steve, Eric, Emmett, Spencer and Aristotelis enjoyed the construction activities of marble run and Mobilo. With the marble rub, the children worked together to create a track for the marbles. Those who were playing Mobilo created cars and trucks with various structures and wheels.
For the table activities, the children enjoyed, drawing, connecting flowers, puzzles and writing table.
At group time, we chose our ‘Days of the Week’ song. Then, we completed our daily calendar. After our calendar, Abigail shared her Show and Tell. She shared a special photo of her childhood. Thank you for sharing Abigail. Then, the children chose various songs to dance and sing to.
Home-readers will be located downstairs in the office for you to personally change on a weekly basis. Thank you for coming to Kindergarten 2’s Christmas party today. We hope everyone had a great time.
