Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome to another fun day here in Kindergarten Two.
This morning children preferred to explore the main playground only, however we will use the sandpit in the afternoon. In the yard children had fun playing ring around the Rosie, drawing with crayons, spinning disks and the blocks. Children also followed their interest which was scaffold and extended by educators.
At 9.30, we headed inside to sing songs, greet our friends and teachers, practise acknowledgement of country, identify today’s day, date and weather. After Morning Tea (jelly with peach and jam), children sat back down on the mat where Hendrix demonstrated his show and tell using the interesting dragon he made at home. Thanks Hendrix for sharing.
Activities offered for children to explore by the teacher’s helper, Hendrix, were farm and sea animals, puppets, shape connectors and legos. Hendrix also showed his kindness by letting everyone to explore his dragon craft. Those children who were interested continued with painting from yesterday.
Before lunch (pasta with salad), children gathered together as a group and participated in the finding the matching cards game which children showed an effective set of skills such as numeracy, taking turns, communicating and cognitive.
Thanks Kindergarten for an awesome day.
Lots of Love,
Miss Qiu and Miss Sana X.
