This morning outside, Grace, Nisha, Lillian, Elke and Alaska were at the sandpit. They were making delicious cakes to eat. Nash, Connor and Spencer were building tracks out of the blocks. These tracks were then used for the toy cars. Fynn and Archie were playing a game where they eah had to hide some toy animals and then the other person had to find it. It seemed like such a fun game!
At group time, we completed our Acknowledgement to Country. Then Nash chose the Days of the Week song and completed the daily calendar.
At activity time, Fynn, Spencer and Archie enjoyed the connecting flowers. They were building a creation from as many flowers that they could find. It was getting so large that it was nearly as long as the table. Lewis, Aristotelis and Bonnie enjoyed the train set. The children were linking the tracks together to create a track for their trains and cars. CC and Daniella enjoyed the Christmas dot to dot. The children were practicing ordering numbers from 1-20. Alaska, Leilani, Nisha, Lillian and Grace enjoyed home corner. The girls loved dressing up and making food for each other. Connor loved the floor puzzle of the world map. Miss Jade helped him and they worked together to complete it. Connor is a professional at this puzzle! Angelo, Steve and Eric were playing with the cars. They used the plastic cups to create a track for their cars to drive around. Nash, Kai, Charlie and Elke enjoyed painting and decorating the Christmas trees.
At group time, Nisha and Alaska shared their Show and Tell. The theme was ‘Mystery Bag’ so they brought in clues for their friends to try and guess. Afterwards, Miss Jeni came to teach us dance. We began the lesson by our dancing warm up where we had to follow Miss Jen. Then, We sat in a circle and she played some Christmas music. Everyone had the opportunity to have a dance solo and it was so much fun!
For the table activities, the children enjoyed the writing table, drawing, magnetic sticks, puzzles and connecting flowers.
For group time, we chose our phonics song and went over our alphabet. We then chose a phonics game to engage in. Then, we began to practice our songs for the Christmas party. We enjoyed singing and dancing to them.
