Dear families and friends,

This morning we were so excited to head outside to begin our super fun day. Outside the children enjoyed exploring the water play with water connectors, painting and riding bikes between obstacles. The children also had the opportunity to explore waffle connectors, balancing beams, slides, sand pit, mud kitchen and reading books on a mat with bay dolls.

At 9.30, we all washed our hand and sat on the mat to start our group time. We sang songs, identified today’s day, date and weather with the teacher’s helper, Audrey and acknowledged the country. We then continued with identifying the letter of the week letter L. The children identified the letter, pronounced it’s sound and helped Miss Qiu recognising objects on letter L card. The children also pronounced the sound of letters from letter A to letter L.

After Morning (energy bars with fruits), the children sat for another group time where they reviewed all the information we have been learning for the past a few days. The children then repeated the oath of remembrance after Miss Qiu. Miss Qiu finished the group time by playing a short educational video about Anzac Day and explaining today’s activity.

Today’s activity included cars, wooden blocks, open ended cylinder, dominos, Legos and activities in rainbow corner. The children who were interested joined Miss Sana where they draw flowers and paint them using their preferred paint colours.

Today the children participated in a dancing class with Miss Jane. They started by warming up, then Miss Jane handed some shakers to our friends to dance with them.

Before Lunch (pumpkin soup with turkish bread and salad), the children headed to the sandpit yard for a quick play before getting ready for lunch. After that, the children had a 20 minutes quiet time where they all read a book quietly by themselves. Audrey then shared her show and tell with the classroom where she showed everyone some lipsticks.

Thanks everyone for a great day.

Love,

Miss Qiu and Miss Sana x.
