This morning outside, Nash and Lewis were playing in the cubby house. They were pretending to be at an ice-cream shop. Steve and Eric were at the drawing table creating maps. The map was of how to get to a new imagination land. Elke, Grace and Nisha were in the sandpit making food. The girls were making cakes and cupcakes that looked so delicious! Kai, Lewis and Connor were pretending to make a shop. They used blocks as their items and were pretending to buy items from the shopkeeper (Connor).

At group time, we completed our Acknowledgement to Country. Then, Elke chose the Days of the Week song and we completed the daily calendar. Next, Miss Shannon read the Elf on the Shelf book again to our friends. Some children missed out on the story and this story allowed the children to understand why we had Elfie in the room.

At activity time, Ben loved playing with the magnetic sticks. He was connecting them together to make cool designs like a snowflake. Fynn, Archie, Steve and Eric enjoyed the connecting flowers. The boys linked the flowers together to create either cars, transportation, or just the biggest object that they could possibly make. Bonnie, Daniella and Alaska enjoyed the snowman activity where the children got to create their own named snowman out of paper and practice writing their names. Charlie, Aristotelis, Nash, Connor and Spencer were playing with the Mobilo. The boys shared the wheels around as they all created cars of all designs. They would then drive them around the room and especially in book corner. Lewis and Kai were at the train set building a track for the trains. They worked together to link as many tracks together and then drove their trains around.

Miss Jeni came for dancing today. We began by playing ‘The Floor is Lava.’ The children had to listen to the song and complete the action it was saying. Then when it could say, ‘The Floor is Lava!’ the children had to run as quickly as they could off the grass area. After that game, we played the colour-dancing game where the children would dance and had to find the corresponding colour on the ground. To conclude dancing, the children completed dancing solos in front of everyone.

Grace, Charlie and Lewis shared their Show and Tell. They all shared their favourite photos of memories of their childhood. Thank you for sharing friends.

For the table activities, the children enjoyed, drawing, magnetic tubes, playdough, and connecting flowers.
