This morning outside, the children engaged in activities such as obstacle courses, the fort, drawing and colouring-in and various games.

For group time, we completed our Acknowledgement to Country.  The children then chose the Days of the Week song. After that, we completed our daily calendar.

At activity time, Kai, Steve, Eric, Spencer and Nash engaged in the Mobilo. The children were building cars, trucks and robots. Connor enjoyed the box full of wooden pieces. He was building a campfire. Archie enjoyed playing with the connecting flowers to make a car. Grace, Nisha and Elke had lots of fun in home corner. They were pretending to play pets and owners. Fynn, Lewis, Charlie and Aristotelis made their Christmas stockings. The children were able to decorate their stocking using glitter, stickers, pompoms and sequins. Lillian enjoyed drawing. She drew various things such as pizzas and people. Daniella and Bonnie were working together at the table to complete various puzzles. The children especially enjoyed the alphabet puzzle.

Miss Jeni came for her last dance class. The children began by completing a warm-up to get the children pumped up. The children had to follow Miss Jeni’s dance moves. The children then got to pick out pompoms to dance to Christmas music. To conclude, the children asked to dance to the ‘Chicken Dance.’ It was so fun and has been so lovely to have Miss Jeni teach us dance.

At group time, Connor shared his Show and Tell. This week, our theme is “I spy…” The item must begin with the same letter as their name. Grace brought in a guitar today to share while Charlie just brought in a dinosaur toy.

For the table activities, the children enjoyed drawing, puzzles, magnetic sticks, connecting flowers and memory.

For group time, we chose our phonics song and went over our alphabet. We then chose a phonics game to engage in. After that, the children chose various songs to sing and dance to.

Please ensure all home-readers are returned to the gym office.
