We had a quiet day in Kindergarten today with only 7 children, so we all played very nicely together. We started off the day outside playing in the sandpit, riding the bikes and climbing in the structure outside. Harrison found some rocks outside and decided to plant them into the sandpit, after planting them he filled a bucket with water and proceeded to carefully water each of them to let them ‘grow’. As a child’s interest is gardening, we will be introducing this into our program, if you have any seeds or empty pots you have free using please feel free to bring them into the classroom to share.
When we came inside some of the children went and found their own activities. This included doing puzzles, using the hammer and pegs to create their own artwork. we also practiced our pencil control today, we used worksheets that were printed off to follow in between the lines, we were able to use our pencil grip correctly and confidently traced in between the lines and also practiced writing our names ourselves onto our paper with a little bit of help from Mr Lochie.
Please remember to bring in your family photos for our family tree please and some recyclables for our classroom.
