Welcome to our blog for Tuesday 30th of March 2021, here is a little snippet on our day… When we all arrived this morning some friends were still playing downstairs- they found this exciting. Kaia was busy showing off his dress up mask. Miss Kate found this very accepting to the changes and thought he was being such a big boy! We soon headed upstairs and outside for some beautiful fresh air! Friends exploded the obstacle course and had a big run around to burn off their energy. Zara said her favourite thing was playing on the slide, while Rafi said she enjoyed sitting and reading books with her friends.
We then headed inside to start our day and daily program with Miss Kate on the mat, we welcomed and greeted all our friends and teachers, said our Acknowledged the country, friends chose Rapha’s song-even with him not in, we think this is a big hit with our friends! We rapped the Days of the week where today we discovered that it was Tuesday- thanks for telling us Emily! Miss Kate recapped on all our sounds and letters that we have been learning lately D, M, A, S and T. We practised writing them with our magic pens and then Miss Kate played eye spy to see if we could if we could spot the objects beginning with the sounds around the class.
Once we had finished our group time we all transitioned by clapping each others names to the bathroom to wash our hands ready for morning tea- yummy crumble and banana! After we then joined Miss Kate back on the group time mat for our Affirmations – our friends looked in the mirror with I am…. Strong, Beautiful, Enough, Kind, A great friend, brave, thankful, BIG, loved, confident, healthy, super and WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THE BEST DAY!
Today we decided to spilt into half, one group would sit with Miss Kate engaging in table activities and the other would do yoga with Miss Bea!
Yoga was great fun, we began by practising our breathing like a Mummy, Baby and Daddy Dragon! We warmed up with tick tok little yoga clock. We then shaked, twisted and jumped- when Miss Bea paused the music we had to get into the yoga pose she shouted. Lastly we “flew like a butterfly”.
Table activities were great fun we had Easter Egg matching, Easter egg designing, Shape picture puzzles, ABC bingo matching, Easter egg threading- friend loved practising their fine motor skills with threading string along the egg. Friends also explored the investigation area, they used the magnifying glasses to examine rocks.
After discussing what we are grateful for we enjoyed our delicious lunch and then rested our bodies and minds with some music and books. We then drew in our journals today we chose to draw what we are grateful for.
Just a friendly reminder that our Easter in the park is cancelled but we are kindly asking is everyone can please donate a gift to our Easter Hamper as we will still be raffling it tomorrow.
Thank you everyone for your understanding.
See you all tomorrow
Miss Kate, Miss Bea, Miss Hollie and Mr Pete
We will also be closed this Friday the 2nd and 5th of April for the Easter break. We hope that all our friends and families all have a wonderful break, Stay Safe.
