Good afternoon families!
Today was St Patricks day so we had lots of fun completing activities to celebrate this. We started off the day by playing outside all together, some of the children used the rakes and shovels to rake and build different sandcastles together, they also placed it all over the slides to see how fast it would slide down.
During group time today we continued singing our Easter song and also sang some other songs, we showed Miss Nicole what we could sing and what moves we knew to different dances. We also revised our shapes which we are getting very good at remembering, counting and recognising some numbers and looking at different colours. We looked at our flower experiment and discussed what was happening to the flowers and what colours they were turning into.
We did some art today, we used scissors to cut up green paper and glued them onto a four leaf clover, we also used our handprints to create a rainbow with a pot of gold which we coloured in, we spoke about what colours we were using and chose which order we wanted to use them in. We also used a pattern template for a 4 leaf clover to practice our pencil control and how careful we can colour in between the lines.
Some of the children did a floor puzzle all together and helped each other find the pieces for them and also used the different coloured straws to make different structures. We had lots of fun in dress ups as well as we enjoyed using our imagination pretending to use it for
