Miss Qiu will be on leave the whole of this week. Miss Sana, Miss Remi (from Pre-Kindy), Mr Pete and Miss Manuela (a qualified ECT) will be here for the children. As always, they are friendly and approachable!
Wishing everyone HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAYS! Stay safe!

Dear families and friends,

Our morning started outside exploring the sandpit, obstacle courses, blocks, spinning disks, bouncy dragons and the kitchen. Children also enjoyed drawing with coloured pencils and reading books in the yard.

At 9.30, we lined up, washed our hands and got ready for our first group time of today. First, the children sang songs, said ‘Jingeri’ to their friends and teachers, acknowledged the country  and identified today’s day, date and weather. Second, Miss Sana then introduced the letter of the week, letter I, we practised the sound of it and air-traced it in the air. The children then individually made the sound of the letter Miss Sana pointed to and sat at tables for Morning Tea.

After Morning Tea, The children sat back on the mat with Miss Sana again where she informed everyone about the viruses which could be in our surroundings. They also discussed ways to prevent getting viruses in our body.

For morning play, Miss Sana split the children in Two groups. Group One headed outside with Miss Remi where they enjoyed playing different types of games requested by children. Group Two stayed inside with Miss Sana where the children enjoyed decorating bunny ears head bands with crayons, animals, Legos and connectors. Each group played for 30 minutes before swapping.

After lunch, the children had a 10 minutes quiet time where they read books. We all then had a 15 minutes yoga session which gave us the opportunity to calm down and relax our minds a little.

Before heading outside, we read Zoey’s books called ‘‘what can fly?’ and ‘Get moving’. Thanks Zoey for sharing your books with us.

Thanks Kindergarten Two for an amazing day. Also a special thanks to Miss Remi for stepping in our classroom today.

Please stay safe and we will look forward to see everyone soon.

Love,

Miss Sana and Miss Remi.
