Dear families and friends,

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY, LILY! Thank you for the cupcakes and mini gift bags!

This morning, we were so excited for being able to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Therefore we headed outside at 8.00 o’clock to run around the yard whilst playing games such as chasing and hide and seek. Outside, the children also enjoyed the slide, sining disks, balancing beams, climbing fort and train tracks.

At 9.30, it was time to head inside and fill our stomachs with Morning Tea which consisted of jelly with raspberry jam and fruits. After morning tea, we sat for group time where we said good morning to everyone, sang songs, practised acknowledgement of country, identified today’s day, date and weather. We then sang the ‘happy birthday’ song for our friend, Lily, and made her the most beautiful wishes. As usual, the children practised the sound of the letter of the week, letter ‘H’, air traced it and identified objects in letter H card.

This morning we had the pleasure of having Frankie’s dad to come and read us a book called ‘Be you’. It was a great book, we defiantly learnt new things from it and absolutely enjoyed it. Special thanks to Frankie’s dad for spending some time with us and also a huge thanks to Frankie for deciding to borrow her book to our library for a while for her friends to read the book. We then practised a fire drill where children did so well at it.

The activities offered today where collaging our Easter crafts, wooden blocks, rainbow area with Easter activities, connectors and drawing with crayons. After a quick play time, Miss Qiu reminded children of our excursion rules and the behaviour which children are expected during the excursion. Angus then shared his adventures with Mr Dingo and answered to his friends questions at the end.

Before lunch (salmon pasta with salad), the children participated in a dancing class with Miss Jane.

Thanks friends for a great day.

Love,

Miss Qiu and Miss Sana x.
