1. Arakan
2. Encountered Witchetty Grub

Good afternoon lovely families,

In the early morning, Pre kindy children found a witchetty grub which aboriginal and torres strait islander people’s traditional food at our garden. Miss Shawn picked it up and we decided to have a chat about it. Miss Shawn explained what Aboriginal people eat in the past and how do they play. Then, the children watched the video. To extend this, Pre kindy children engaged natural resource activities to create their own spring. The children explore the diversity of culture, heritage, background and tradition and that diversity presents opportunities for choices and new understandings. They also become aware of connections, similarities and difference between people. It was a good opportunity to learn the other culture.
