Morning tea- cake with yoghurt and fruit

Morning group –
We started with our morning routine:
• Good morning song
• Days of the week
• Counting and number recognition
• ABC and letter recognition
We then sang a big happy birthday song to our friend Angus and made him the most beautiful wishes! Then we continued with revising our classroom rules as we were having an inside day today. Children are becoming more confident with identifying and following the rules. Miss Sana then asked children where our Christmas tree is, what it is missing and explained today’s activity which consisted more painting to complete our Christmas tree. Miss Sana also reminded children of our Christmas party and as a group we all sang along to our specific Christmas concert song. We finished the group time by reading Fynlee’s, Milana’s and Chloe’s books.

Before lunch, children danced with some Christmas songs and sang the Christmas song again.

Inside children were given variety of opportunities to develop their fine motor, social, role play, construction, coordination and cognitive skills through activities such as:
– Train and train tracks- (fine motor, social, communication, creative, hand eye- co-ordination)
– Home corner- (dramatic play, memory, social, fine motor, imaginative)
– Cubby house (dramatic play, communication, imagination)
– Doll house (Memory, social, fine motor, dramatic)
– Painting with glitter, fabric and normal paint with Miss Sana (Social, fine motor, social, sensory, creative, colour recognition, decision making with choosing the colours)
– Snow pit (Social, fine motor, social, sensory, creative)
– Drawing with chalks on Christmas placemat
– Magnet fishing set (fine motor, social)
– Cutting (fine motor, social, hand and eye co-ordination, communication)
– Magnets (fine motor, social, communication)
Yoga session: everyone participated.
Gymnastics: Termeh, Toranj, Chloe, Alex, Theodore, Elizabeth, Liam
Today we decided to play outside where children were given the opportunity to explore:
– Cubby houses (dramatic play, social, communication)
– Sandpit with buckets, shovels, pots, trucks- (construction, imagination, creativity, social)
– Free play outside (decision making, extending upon the child’s own interests)
– Bikes and scooter bikes (co-ordination, gross motor)
– Music (language, dance, memory)
– Balancing beam and climbing bars (coordination, physical, balancing, fine and gross motor)
– Drawing with texters (colour recognition, pencil grip, fine motor, hand-eye coordination)
– See-saws (social, fine and gross motor)
– Yoga balls (balancing, taking turns, gross motor, bouncing)
Information for parents:
Parent teacher evening on November 25th 4-5:30pm. Christmas party on Thursday 10th December 3:30 -4:30 pm
There are the raffle tickets in each child’s bag, this is for our Christmas raffle. It can be paid to the reception area.
