Outside this morning the children enjoyed:
- Strollers lawn mowers
- Soft blocks
Before going inside Miss Des’ree played a game of freeze and catch the ball with a run around the yard.
This morning we gathered on the mat for our morning routine songs. We all sung our Aboriginal greeting song together, Lillian sung our days of the week and Sofia told us that today is Tuesday!
The children are doing a really great job at learning our 3 Christmas songs, ‘Red red coat, When Santa got stuck up the chimney (which can both be found on youtube) and peppermint stick.
‘I took a lick of my peppermint stick and it tasted very yummy,
Used to be on my Christmas tree, but now its in my tummy.
Yum yum, yummy yum, yummy yummy yummy,
Used to be on my Christmas tree. But now its in my tummy.’
To transition the children to activity time Miss Roya called out the childrens names one at a time to go find an activity.
We had a variety of exciting activities for the children to explore:
On the table:
- Mirror and coloured blocks
- The grinch handprint painting
- Gold star painting
- Lego block building
The mat offered:
- Car and train track puzzle pieces
- Cars to accompany the children’s road works
- Santa’s little workshop with mini, babies and reindeers!
- Home corner
Over all its been a beautiful day
