Morning tea- some fruits and bar

Morning group –
We started with our morning routine:
• Good morning song.
• Days of the week
• Counting and number recognition
• Colour recognition
• Revising our shapes

This morning, Miss Remi and children shared about our friendship. All children were so happy tell us ‘who is your best friend’. Also, we discussed about what is the ‘Gentle hands’, being kind to your best friends is precious and we all need to do. Also, we talked about ANZAC day. Children practiced some songs for Anzac celebration day. Then, we split the group one is to join the art and craft for ANZAC Day and others moved to outdoor to have free play.

As a transition to morning tea, Children showed jumping skills to go to bathroom. Everyone loved it.

Before lunch, Mr Lachie read ‘Gruffalo’ which is telling about their friendship.

Lunch – Pumpkin soup with bread and vegetable
Inside, the children are given variety of opportunities to develop their fine motor, social, role play, construction, coordination and cognitive skills through activities.
The activities available today were:
– The children enjoyed painting on the paper plate to make a poppy, supervised by Miss Rowena. The children were enjoyed painting with their brush. (Fine motor, sensory, following direction, creativity, social, communication, imaginative)
– Blue and Pink sand in our sensory tray. The children were able to explore this with cups, scoops and bowls. We find this activity very popular, the children seem to calm down when exploring the rice.(sensory, social, communication, fine motor, colour recognition)
