Hello and good afternoon to all our wonderful Senior and Pre Kindy friends and families, welcome to Thursday the 9th of April 2020.
Parents and friends a friendly reminder that the centre will be closed Friday the 10th of April to Monday the 13th of April for the Easter long weekend.
Today we had a special visit from the Easter Bunny this morning. We were all treated to a special Easter egg, and we all used our beautiful manners when receiving this very special treat. As a combined classed we then took a special photo. Most of us were super excited to see the Easter Bunny up close! We herd some friends say ‘I Love You Easter Bunny’
During our morning group time today we sung and learned some Easter bunny Songs: B-U-N-N-Y, Hop Hop Little Bunnies, 10 counting bunnies, Miss Stacey then transitioned all the children to the bathroom to wash their hands with lots of soap and water hopping and jumping like little bunnies. Hop, Hop, Hop!
We continued with our Easter themed celebration day with some free expression drawing and collaging activities today including the making of Easter Bunny Finger Puppets and Easter Bunny Masks using all different coloured fabric markers and crayons and we can’t have an Easter bunny mask without glitter? So we sprinkled all sorts of glitter onto our masks to give the finishing touch Miss Shannen then help us all with trying some string to the masks to help them stay on. We also ensured all children took home and had completed their Easter craft.
Today we also had Water Play: Encouraging social play, and finding similar interests within other children. Encouraging nature play.
The children also participated in our fire drill this morning and all did a fantastic job with listening and following our teachers to the safe place up on the hill waiting for Miss Tan to give us the all clear and head back to our activities and play spaces.
We were all using our imagination and creating our own Easter Land with all our friends playing ‘Bunnies’ we were laughing and loving that we all could be bunnies together.
Together as a class we have been using the three cubby houses to explore the story of the three little pigs. We will continue to repeat this story over and over again, so that the children begin to remember the story and can help us to tell the story in the future. The children love how interactive the story is and having three houses as props!
Once we woke up from a rest and sleep we headed back outside for a Easter Egg Hunt: Miss Shannen and Miss Sana set up and hid special Easter Cup treats for the children to search for in the afternoon as a special treat for them to take home for the Easter long weekend. The children thought this was super exciting and fun!
Thank you to all our friends who brought in some very yummy chocolate Easter eggs for Miss Stacey, Miss Shannen and Miss Sana. We feel very loved!
We hope that all our friends in Senior and Pre Kindy along with their families and friends all have a Happy and Safe Easter and eat lots of yummy hot cross buns. We will see you all on Tuesday the 14th of April for another fun week.
Take care, lots of love Miss Stacey, Miss Shannen and Miss Sana xxx
