Hi everyone! We hope you have had a fabulous Friday! Welcome to the blog for the 31st of July, 2020.
We had super helpers this morning, who helped Miss Stacey set up the yard. This was an excellent way to hear the children’s voice and opinions on what they wanted to play with and see more of in the yard.
We have decided to extend our daily routine and trialled this today. We have decided to extend our play time and activity time to tire the children out a little more and to maximise learning time. This worked really well and the children had a great day.
For morning tea, we enjoyed some delicious raisin bread and fresh fruit and welcomed our new friends Viaan, Apollon and Jai to the classroom. We are so excited to have some new friends join us next week!
Next week we will be focusing on dental hygiene so please if you have a chance over the weekend, We would love if you could take some photos of you and your family brushing their teeth, to then bring them in so we can display them in our classroom!
Like always, we had a very busy activity time with lots to explore. Mr Dan came to our classroom at 10:15 and we all went outside to participate in our weekly Arakan class! The children find Mr Dan so funny and have a great time!
Today we celebrated international friendship day! Our friend Viaan asked yesterday if we could explore a painting activity, and so we did! The children used pegs and cotton balls to dab into the paint. The children then patted the paint on the a large piece of paper with lots of wonderful colours. We took photos of the children, and asked them about their friendships, and what they love about their friends. This was such a fun and beautiful activity to explore!
We continued our morning with some free play, allowing the children to explore and extend where they pleased. We recently got a new kitchen in our home corner which has been a lot of fun to play with and the new set up has been very exciting for the children.
Today, the children did such an excellent job of packing away all their toys we were super proud and everybody got a high five and a cuddle afterwards.
Our group times were full of fun and laughter, reading our favourite books and dancing with Bea. The children are always so engaged in group times, its so lovely to see!
After a HUGE morning, it was time to rest to prepare ourselves for an afternoon of fun in the sun!
Today our friend Rafaela will be taking home our Literacy book! We hope you have fun with this book and we can’t wait for you to bring it back all decorated and full of learning experiences and stories.
Thank you for a wonderful week Senior Kindy, have an amazing weekend and stay safe.
Lots of Love,
Miss Stacey and Miss Bea xx
