Home » Benowa Hills Centre » Senior Kindy – Tuesday 30th June 2020

Hello and good afternoon to all our Senior Kindy, welcome everyone to Tuesday the 30th of June 2020, it is also the last day of the month as we discovered today.

This morning was very chilly so with that when all our friends arrived this morning we all headed inside to the Pre Kindy room with our Educators and friends playing and exploring all the toys and spaces in the Pre Kindy room, we all had an absolute ball. Once more of our friends arrived for the day, we headed over to the Senior Kindy room for all our friends to find their own hats and apply sunscreen before we made our way outside to the yard to warm up our bodies with dancing to our favourite songs and showing all our dance moves!

We would like to welcome back our friend Mark! Mark has returned to Kindy today after spending a few months at home. We were all so excited to see Mark and we all wanted to play with him in the sandpit. We would also like to congratulate Mark and his family on the news that Mark will be a BIG Brother later this year! Mark and his family also brought us all in a special treat for our afternoon tea, we each enjoyed yummy blue cupcakes with sprinkles and lots of icing. Thank you Mark! We loved them!

Our friends Avery, Macy, Zephyr and Jordie headed on over to Tumble Tots with Miss Kate today for some fun gymnastics, SK Gymnastics class was first up this morning.

As we are coming into a new month tomorrow Miss Kristie and Miss Bec have put out a new menu for us all and this morning we had home made baked beans and fresh Turkish bread to dip into our sauce and beans what better way to warm up our bellies then to eat yummy warm beans. We all really enjoyed our morning tea with friends kindly asking for seconds and some thirds. And lunch was yummy poke bowls made up of tuna, rice, beans, and salads with the option of soy sauce.

Today during our group we practised our counting numbers by counting all our friends that we had here today and we had a total of 12 friends in our room today and with the help from Miss Shannen and Miss Stacey we used our fingers and toes to count up to 12! We also sung our usual group time songs and sign language. Today our friend Emily brough in a baby photo of her self to share and show us all along with Macy and Murray who also had some photos to show us of the adventures they each got up to over the weekend, Macy went camping and took a trip to Sea Life up on the Sunshine Coast and Murray was very lucky and spent the day at Seaworld with his mum and dad. Zara and Rafaela each brought in a book from home to share with us and for Miss Stacey and Miss Shannen to read. Zara brought in a book called I’m a dirty dinosaur and Rafaela brought in the book called ABC Love! Thank you to all our friends who were so brave and brought in something special from home to share at group time you all did an amazing job!

To extend on our friends visits to Sea Life and Seaworld today we each made our very own Polar Bear! Using black paper, white paint and a fork, the children used their fine motor skills and moved the paint around on the paper using the fork creating a fur like print! Once they were all dry we then added on some ears and googly eyes to complete our Polar Bears! You can see our art work down at the reception area!

We have had a great day all together, we cant wait to see you all tomorrow.

Lots of love, Miss Stacey and Miss Shannen xx
