Hello everybody and welcome to Our Wednesday the 18th of November 2020 blog, we hope that everyone has had a wonderful day, we all certainly have here in the Senior Kindy room with Miss Stacey, Miss Shannen and Miss Bea. Our day went a little like this….
This morning we stayed inside our Senior Kindy room and our friends from Pre Kindy joined us for a bit while we waited for more friends to arrive and for the sun to come out and warm up the yard for us all. In the yard today we had lots of friends playing and exploring up in the garden and talking to our friends at Kindergarten through the fence, we had lots of friends take their shoes off and jump in the water puddles that they created with the water pump, bike races around the sandpit track, dancing with Miss Bea to Christmas music in the under covered area showing all our friends our best moves as we boogied and grooved. We were all having so much fun outside that today Miss Stacey, Miss Shannen and Miss Bea thought that we would stay outside for just bit longer and enjoy the sunshine! When it was time for us to head inside to wash our hands and fill up our bellies with yummy morning tea that Miss Kristie had made we all lined up outside the bathroom door and sung our hand washing song as groups of four friends went inside, the children all enjoyed a bowl of fresh fruit bread with Miss Kristie’s home made strawberry jam with fresh pieces of bananas and rockmelon.
Once all our friends had finished eating their morning tea we all joined Miss Stacey down on the mat for our group time. We started off our group time with singing our Christmas concert songs hoping that Santa would hear us all the way from the North Pole. And we all did such a good job with singing our songs that Miss Staceys phone rung and it was Santa calling! We were all so excited to see Santa and tell him how good we all have been, Santa told us that he is always watching and he will call us again soon. Today we continued with our Christmas craft finishing off our Christmas stars, making reindeer food with Miss Shannen using special Christmas glitter and reindeer friendly oats (we have added the reindeer food to our Christmas gift bags that we are all so excited to get), at another table with Miss Stacey the children decorated their Christmas gift bags with foam Christmas stickers and writing our names on the bags: The children used their fine motor skills, combined with their literacy and numeracy skills to choose five foam stickers to stick on their bag. The children then participated in a tracing activity where the children were required to spell, trace and attempt to write their name.
We were all so busy with our activities that we forgot the time and before we knew it, it was time for us to have our Wednesday dance class with Miss Jen, today Miss Jen taught us all a new dance routine to the song Santa Claus is coming to town we stretched our bodies and danced along to the song using our arm and legs, and we were so lucky and even got to use pom poms! We love dancing!
We would like to thank all our friends and families who attend our very last Parent/Teacher Interviews this afternoon, it was lovely seeing you all and having a chat! If you have any more questions please don’t hesitate to ask us! We will be happy to help.
Enjoy your evenings, our camera is back up and working finally yay!
See you all tomorrow, lots of love Miss Stacey, Miss Shannen and Miss Bea xxx
