Hello to all our wonderful Senior Kindy friends and families, welcome to our very last blog for 2020! We hope that everyone has had a lovely day and as much Christmas fun as we all have here in Senior Kindy with Miss Stacey and Miss Shannen. Here is how we all spent our last day together in our Senior Kindy room….

This morning we spent the morning in our Toddlers room as we waited for more friends and teachers to arrive for the day. Shortly after 8am we all headed over to our rooms where we all got our hats, applied our sunscreen and ventured outside to the yard and enjoyed this beautiful Summer’s day with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky!

We had lots of friends enjoying a ride on the red bikes around the track and sandpit area, another group of friends were up exploring the gardens and using their creative imagination role playing in the cubby houses and fort, as it was such a nice day Miss Shannen opened up the tree house! Our friends all lined up along the deck area and waited for their turn practicing the virtue of patience, our friends enjoyed climbing the robes and ladders on the tree house and waving out to all their friends. We played outside with all our friends and friends from Pre Kindy for a little bity longer today as we were all enjoying each others company so much. We headed inside just before 9:30am as we had some friends with hungry tummies, we all washed our hands with lots of soap and water before finding our own drink bottles and sitting down at the tables so some yummy morning tea that Mr Trevor had made for us all. This morning the children all enjoyed a bowl of yummy coconut yogurt with fresh slices of strawberries mixed all the way through with the option of fresh fruit and a cake slice to fill up all our bellies!

When all our friends had finished eating their morning tea we all joined Miss Shannen down on the mat for our morning group time, we sung our days of the week and discovered that today is WEDNESDAY and that also means only TWO more sleeps to go till Santa comes to visit, we then said our welcoming of the land, and our good morning song. Miss Shannen also read one of our favourite books – The Gingerbread Man to finish off our group time. Today we had lots of friends request for Christmas songs to sing and dance along too with our friends each picking their own choice of activity for the morning – we had dress ups, puzzles, books, playdough, shaving cream sensory activity, making slime/patty with Miss Natalie and most of all enjoying being all together!

Miss Stacey and Miss Shannen would like to thank all our Senior Kindy friends and families for all the support and love through one of the toughest years, and for letting us be apart of your child’s day and learning journey here at Benowa Hills. We have had one of the best years with all our friends in Senior Kindy and we are so proud to see how far they have all come and grown, we can’t wait to see what next year brings for them all in Kindergarten, we couldn’t have asked for a better class. We are going to miss you all dearly!

Miss Stacey and Miss Shannen wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all, may all your Christmas wishes come true and we hope that Santa is good to you all! May you all have a wonderful and well deserved break with loved ones and family. We look forward to seeing you all next year!

“You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So… get on your way!”

For the very last time – Lots of love, Miss Stacey and Miss Shannen xx
