Hello and welcome to our families from the toddler 1 room on a very hot Tuesday at the hills. As our morning began Daisy had fun as she slid down the slide. Zane had fun in the sand pit with Adam from Toddler 2 room. Lazar was very happy as he spent time on the bike. Saxon watched the truck at the top of the hill with friends from toddler 2 room. Onyx did some drawing at the table and Zoe enjoyed some play with her doll. Miss Rowena read The Hungry Spider story on the fort. Tianna enjoyed walking around the garden with her teddy. Ocean arrived at morning tea and was happy to see her friends.
After morning tea Miss Rowena set up the shaving foam with the dinosaurs in the large container. This was an amazing sensory experience enjoyed by everyone. Please enjoy the photos and there are more. Will be displayed in the room next week. We did this indoors and to extend on interest we we continue with rice when the weather is a bit cooler outdoors. The stacking rings activity encouraged counting. The garage and cars were also another popular activity. So nice to be in the air- con!!!!! Using the musical instruments with Aboriginal sounds and the Wiggles before we were ready for stories and puppets. The children with Miss Rowena were lying on the mat as we listened to Hush Little Possum.
We had a group time after morning tea and before lunch with Spot stories and puppets. Today we also read Wake up Hungry Caterpillar and Where are you Hungry Caterpillar. These pop out books have become favourites. Have a lovely evening with love from Miss Sue and Miss Rowena OXOXXOXOXO
