Good Afternoon families and happy Friday,
We have come to the end of our second week and what a wonderful time we have had. The children arrived today exited to explore the yard quickly settling down after drop offs. It is amazing to watch how quickly the children are adapting to their new environment.
We have a variety of activities in the yard every day for the children to explore. These include playing in the sandpit, riding bikes, playing on the fort, building blocks, balls and many more, but the most amazing thing to see in the yard is the children interacting and using their imaginations in play. Soon after all our friends arrived, we decided to all head inside for some morning tea.
To end the week of our amazing art works we decided to make play dough. This activity is awesome as all the children get to have a turn putting the ingredients together. This kind of activity encourages the children to get involved and work together.
As always, we opened the doors, so the children had the opportunity for indoor/outdoor play. We encourage the children to have free chose to play as it gives us the opportunity to learn about their interest. We had a variety of activities for the children to choose from. These included home corner, book corner, interments, balls, mowers, keyboards etc.
Sometime after our play we all sat down for a group time singing all our favourite songs ranging from “Baby Shark” to “Insy Winsy Spider” to “Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes”.
Finally, it was time for lunch and a well-deserved rest. This afternoon we will all head back outside to see where else our curious minds will take us.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our wonderful day in Toddlers One. We hope you all have a fantastic weekend, and we look forward to seeing you all next week for some more fun adventures.
Miss Aimee and Miss Stacey.
