Hello beautiful families,
A beautiful autumn morning outdoors today with plenty of activities on offer, during this time children are encouraged to settle in and join activities that help them feel comfortable to start their day after saying good bye to their mummies and daddies. Today’s outdoor activities available were : Sand Pit Play, Jungle Gym, Hurdle Obstacles, Dinosaurs, Building Blocks, Bikes and Bouncy Dragons, Lawn Mowers, A variety of Bouncy Balls.
Today our class came together to create a beautiful ANZAC wreath for the upcoming ANZAC commemoration, each child was able to contribute by adding a red handprint to our canvas wreath symbolising a poppy. They all contributed to this special project. A continuation of our top-secret mother’s day projects was also offered today for those who had not completed our already started activities. Children were also able to explore and self-select from our shelves and play spaces over the morning with activities including : Train table and train tracks, puzzles, home corner, book and literacy area, cars and trucks and threading boards.
Our group time commenced shortly after 11am today and we began with singing our good morning song, encouraging our children to sing along. Today Miss Sue read one of our frozen stories to the class, along the way Miss Sue asked our children to identify the various characters and objects on the pages helping to develop our speech language skills. We also had lots of fun singing the wheels on the bus song as Miss Sue brought out her interactive sounds and music bus for the children to enjoy😊
Thank you so much for today. What a great start of the week
Miss Sue, Miss Rochelle and Miss Aurelie
