Hello toddler 2 families and welcome to another fun day of learning we are almost at the end of the week already, time flies when you are having fun!! This morning we spent time outside doing some more bird watching Taytn and Blake spotted a lorikeet in the tree Miss Jade was asking them what colours they could see on the bird, Green said Blake Taytn repeated after him “green” he was making a lot of noise and they boys thought that it was funny laughing when ever he let out a big sqauuuuuuk. Emilie and Lucy were having fun on the scooters zooming up and down the path. Sophie, Jake, Eve and Hollie were practicing their balancing skills on the obstacle course. Jake was having a ball in the sandpit scooping up all of the sand and tipping it out again, Sophie then joined in the fun too and they were laughing together as all of the sand started falling out of the bottom of the trough “oh no” said Sophie, Zyanna was cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen banging the pots and pans together and mixing up the bark in the saucepan.
We came inside for a group time with Miss Sue, she told us the story of the three billy goats gruff with puppets the children loved it!!!
Inline with our celebration of all the different cultures that we have in our classroom we celebrated Japan today and made the Japanese flag out of paper plates glue and red crepe paper the children had a great time using their fine motor skills to pick up the little pieces of paper and sticking them on the paper plates. We also sung the japenese version of twinkle twinkle little star that Miss Katherine has been teaching us “kira kira hikaru” sang Eve, Blake, Hollie, Lucy, Sophie and Jin.
We then had a delicious lunch and a well earned rest!
Thanks for a fun day toddlers see you tomorrow for fun Friday 🙂
