Hello Toddler 2 families it is good to be back after having to travel to Melbourne last Friday for a family emergency, all is going well and thank you for your concerns it means a lot!! When I arrived this morning I was welcomed with lots of cuddles which was just what I needed!! Taytn even said my name for the first time “tafen” which was beautiful! We started the morning outside it the beautiful autumn sunshine and we saw our favourite the garbage truck arrive and collect our big skip bins, Taytn, Blake, Alex, Jasper Liam, Eve and Sophie all stood at the gate waving to him and he waved back to us, as the bin was lifted high in the air Alex said “whoooooaaaaaa”.Inside during group time we read a story called “ssshhhhh don’t wake the baby” Eve kept on asking where the baby was on every page and Blake did a fantastic job at making the noises of all of the animals that he could see on each page, Monkey, Elephant, Tiger and Crocodile, we then sang the 5 cheeky monkeys song and some of the children did a great job counting Miss Katherine’s fingers seeing how many cheeky monkeys were left.
We then had a Yoga class with Miss Lauren, Hannah, Blake, Eve and Jasper did a wonderful job at trying to copy each pose Taytn said “up and down” when we practiced our yoga breathing lifting our hands up in the air and then down low again. We practiced the other poses dog, monkey and tree it was great to see all of our little friends so involved in the yoga class at the end we said “Namaste” and held our hands together.
Miss Katherine then took us outside on the verandah for a little sink or float experiment as some of the children have been interested in dropping items into our water trough and also have taken an interest in our herb garden, we went for a walk to collect some items from the garden Hannah came up with a great idea of getting a bucket and giving it to Miss Katherine to put all of items in we collected flowers from the rosella tree and some mint which Jasper said he liked the smell of Eve had a taste of the mint and said “Yummy”. We then carried our bucket of floating and sinking items back to the big tub of water and everyone had a turn of putting something in , the rocks sank and the flowers and mint leaves floated, the children then had fun fishing the leaves and rocks out of the water and placing them in smaller buckets and tipping them back in the big bucket.
Thanks for a great day Toddlers I have missed your little faces over the last few days!!!!
