Good afternoon families and what a wonderful day it is!! The sky is clear, the sun is shinning and we are ready to smash the day with fun and imagination.

Today began with a play in the yard exploring all the fun to be had. We had a variety of activties for the children to choose from. The children enjoyed digging in the sandpit, climbing the fort, riding bikes, kicking balls, building blocks and of course dancing to our favorite tunes.

Soon it was time for some of our friends to go to gym. While our friends were at gym the rest of us enjoyed continuing playing in the yard until it was finally time to head in for some porridge and banana.

Today we wanted to do something for Anzac day. Each child sat down to paint cupcake papers and cotton wool red and back. This was a good way for the children to think about where the red goes and where the black goes.

The children also enjoyed playing with blocks, books, home corners, sensory bottles, colour blocks, and drawing.

Sometime after our fun exploring the room we decided to all sit on the mat with Miss Stacey and read our favorite books. We then put on some music for the children to show off their cool moves.

Finally it was time for a yummy mushroom loaf and roasted vegetables. The children then laid down for a well deserved rest. This afternoon we will all head back outside to see where else our imaginations will take us.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for some more fun adventures in toddlers one.

One last thing…
You might notice the toileting chart has changed to ‘sat on toilet’ or ‘wee on toilet’ etc. The children have shown a big interest in toilet training, so we have decided to start incorporating toileting into our daily routine! This is so fun and exciting and we are so proud of the efforts they have already made!

Lots of love,

Miss Aimee and Miss Stacey.
